Job description

My client is a well known carbon management company, specialising in project development, carbon credit sales and trading and project finance. As part of their expansion plans for 2010, they are looking to hire a senior manager to lead a team of project developers. This role looks set to be one of the most exciting on the Indian market in 2010, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits structure available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:                       

• Training and managing a team of CDM project developers

• Reviewing completed PDD documentation

• Coordinating validation and verification activities with local DOEs (Designated Operational Entities)

• Working closely with the business development team to originate new opportunities to purchase CER and VER credits

• Representing the company at local conferences and exhibitions

Candidate Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of project development experience within renewable energies

• At least two years of experience of developing projects under the Clean Development Mechanism

• Engineering background

• Strong commercial knowledge and excellent business acumen

• Able to speak fluent English and at least one local Indian language
