Job description

My client is a fast growing manufacturer of photovoltaic crystalline solar modules. They are currently looking to hire an Engineering Manager in the Netherlands to join an entrepreneurial and dynamic business, leading a team of 50+ engineers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Leading a large team of engineers
• Overseeing all engineering processes - new and existing
• Working closely with the R&D (Research and Development) group on newly developed products
• Ensure all work is completed within budget
• Oversee all maintenance issues
• Liaise with suppliers and maintain good relationships
• Ensuring optimization of yield, efficiency, production and through-put

Skills and qualifications required:

• Excellent knowledge of Six Sigma (SPC)
• Strong people management skills, used to taking charge of a large team
• Fluent in Dutch or German and English
• Able to live/work in the Netherlands, with frequent travel
• Background in Physics (semiconductors) or - educated to PHD level
• 15+ years\' work experience in the manufacturing industry, at least 5 years\' experience in a photovoltaics-related position and in management
• Excellent at multi-tasking and driving and motivating multiple teams of engineers
• Entrepreneurial and imaginative approach to problem solving
